CodeSoft - License Types

Software activation has the following types of licenses available: online software, offline software hardware, platinum software.

License Type License Conditions
Online Software
  • Available for all versions of the product range.
  • Permanent internet connection required to use the software.
  • Transfer* licence up to a maximum of 7 times.
  • If the licensed computer is damaged, lost or stolen, the license can be reactivated four maximum.
  • Simultaneous use of the license on 2 or more computers is a breach of the Software License Agreement.
Offline Software
(subscription only)
  • Available for all versions of the product range.
  • No internet connection required to use the software.
  • Transfer* licence up to a maximum of 5 times.
  • If the licensed computer is damaged, the license can be reactivated on condition there has been no abusive use of the software.
  • Simultaneous use of the license on 2 or more computers is a breach of the Software License Agreement.
Hardware
  • Available for all versions of the product range , excluding Virtual Machine products**.
  • A free USB port is required.
  • The software will only work when the hardware key is connected.
  • If the hardware key is damaged, lost or stolen, the license is no longer valid.
    * The additional €120 only applies to perpetual licenses. There is no additional cost for subscription licenses. If you need an LPT license, contact us.
Platinum Software
  • Available for all versions of the product range.
  • Internet connection required to start the software.
  • No internet connection required to use the software.
  • Transfer* licence up to a maximum of 7 times.
  • If the licensed computer is damaged, lost or stolen, the license can be reactivated a maximum of 4 times.
  • Simultaneous use of the license on 2 or more computers is a breach of the Software License Agreement.

* License transfer: move a licence from one computer to another, using the licence manager tool integrated in the software.

** Virtual machine products are only available as follows:

  • Subscription license for 1 year (Software – Platinum, Online or Offline)
  • Perpetual license (Software – Platinum or Online) with 3 years SMA Gold
